שינויים בתפקידו המוסרי של המורה

הספר החדש בעריכת פרופסור רוני ריינגולד וד"ר דורית אלט הוא אסופת מאמרים רצינית ומעמיקה על השינויים  הנדרשים בתפקידו המוסרי של המורה. פרקי הספר מדגישים את חשיבות תפקודו הפדגוגי של המורה לא רק כסוכן שינוי אלא בראש ובראשונה כסמכות מוסרית בתחומי החינוך בכלל והחינוך הדמוקרטי בפרט. כותבי המאמרים דנים בחשיבות הקניית ערכים, חשיבה מוסרית ויצירת סובלנות ע"י המורים במקביל להקניית תכנים וידע בביה"ס וביתר שאת. חלק מן המאמרים מדברים על תכנית לימודים ייחודית שיש לפתח, תכנית לימודים אתית. המאמרים עוסקים בנקיטת אומץ מוסרי ע"י מורים ואירועים התורמים לכך. חלק מהתפיסות המוצגות בספר צמחו על הקרקע של תיאוריית הקונסרקטיביזים בהוראה ובלמידה כיצירת מעורבות בלמידה בצורה פעילה .
